Semester over, and holidays before us. There are lots of things I want to do; write some songs, read a list of  books; knit something other than a scarf, pick the kids up after school and head straight for the beach; paint the bathroom; make gifts; make jam, chutney, melanzane, preserved lemons...

good weekend

Particularly because 1) we were all together....

2) the sky was mostly this colour......

3)Big Honey had Big Plans and made them manifest (a flying fox from back porch to back shed)

 

                           

4) which made the kids very happy.....

5) and me too, because face it people, what is not to love about your man toiling confidently with tools in his hand, looking all Capable and In Charge and..manly...

                            

 6) The apple tree announced it would bear us 50 apples. Fuji. ..

7) the house gets all light and gorgeous when the sun is out......

8) and the Garden, well that just always makes me happy; even more so when it's all planted out....

9) our kids' gorgeous school had a gorgeous festival and I completely forgot to take photos. Which is actually a positive thing in a way - it means that blogging isn't ruling my life! Yet.

10) and I have only 2 more exams and a recital to go.....

 I made it up as I went along - cherries and strawberries from the local farmer's market, puff pastry, 3 eggs, almond meal, sugar and vanilla essence...tomorrow I'll make the apple and pear version.I was going to do it tonight despite the absence of sugar, but then I came to my senses...I mean, really.....
